About this place
A thick, coating broth paired with thin, straight noodles gives the tokunō chuka soba at Ryuoh its defining richness and satisfying heft. While distinctly dense, the soup goes down without feeling overly heavy, balanced by tender chashu and crisp sheets of nori. For a more substantial meal, the A Set pairs the noodles with niku meshi—savory rice topped with finely chopped chashu, scallions, and sauce—offering a hearty balance between bites of soup.
Though primarily a ramen shop, Ryuoh stands out for its broad selection of teishoku set meals. Diners can choose grilled dried fish options such as the toro saba (fatty mackerel) or aji (horse mackerel) sets, alongside hearty meat dishes including garlicky thick-cut pork ginger, tonteki pork steaks, and karaage fried chicken with rice. The noodle offerings are equally varied, spanning light shoyu, shio, miso, and pork wonton noodles, making it easy to tailor an order whether visiting for lunch or dinner.
Inside, counter seating forms the core of the space, creating an easygoing atmosphere well suited to solo dining. Meals can also be stretched out at a relaxed pace with pan-fried or boiled gyoza accompanied by bottled beer like Sapporo Akaboshi or Asahi Super Dry. Situated on the grounds of a commercial complex in Hokima, Adachi Ward, the restaurant offers ample free parking, making it a convenient stop when traveling by car.
